Tuna Noodle Salad Recipe

Old fashioned tuna macaroni salad, just like mama made it, is a delicious easy lunch or simple supper.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. Chunk Light Tuna in water, drained well
  • 16 oz. Cooked Elbow Macaroni
  • 1 to 1 1/4 c Mayonnaise
  • 6 tsp Dill Pickle Cubes
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Onion Powder
  • pinch of Dried Thyme crushed between your fingers
  • 1 tbsp. Dried Parsley fresh is good too

Instructions

  • Begin by emptying the tuna into a mesh strainer and drain well.
  • Next, cook the pasta. Bring water to a boil, add some salt to water then add the pasta and boil for 10 minutes.
  • While the pasta cooks, prepare the dressing mixture. In a medium mixing bowl add mayonnaise, pickles, lemon juice, and seasonings and combine.
  • Add the drained tuna to wet mixture and combine.
  • Finally, drain the cooked pasta and add it to tuna wet mixture and combine. May be served warm or chilled.
