Blackberry Grits
Sweet and savory blackberry grits are perfect for breakfast or brunch.

- 4 c Cooked Grits
- 6 oz Fresh Blackberries
- 1/4 c Water
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- 2 tbs Granulated Sugar
Cook grits according to package directions to yield four cups of cooked grits.
While the grits are cooking you'll have plenty of time to prepare the stewed blackberries.
Heat a small sauce pan over medium heat.
Add the fresh blackberries and sugar.
Add the water to a liquid measuring cup and add the cornstarch. Mix to combine into a slurry mixture.
Add the slurry mixture to the sauce pan.
Cook 3-4 minutes. That's plenty of time to stew the berries. Remove from heat and reserve until ready to serve.
Add cooked grits to serving bowls and top with some of the stewed blackberries.
