Cranberry Chocolate Chip Dip

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce Cream Cheese softened
  • 14 ounce Canned Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce
  • ¾ cup Heavy Whipped Cream
  • ¼ teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • 1 cup Milk Chocolate Morsels or combo of chocolate and white morsels
  • Vanilla Wafer Cookies

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl; combine the cream cheese and cranberry sauce with an electric mixer then set aside.
  • Chill a small mixing bowl in the freezer for about 5 minutes; remove from the freezer and add whipping cream and cream of tartar then whip until heavy peaks form.
  • Fold the whipped cream into the cranberry mixture then stir in chocolate chip morsels.
  • Serve with cookies for dipping.

Notes

Cream of tartar or a little confectioner's sugar helps to stabilize the fresh whipped cream.
