In this post I’ll be sharing a Cranberry Chocolate Chip Dip recipe.
Y’all, this dip is soooo good! You’re gonna love it! Cranberry sauce dip is made with simple ingredients that you may already have on hand…one being canned whole berry cranberry sauce.
I seem to always have a can or two of that stuff in my pantry. This cranberry dip recipe seems perfectly festive for the holiday season.
You could always make a batch any time for a taste of the most wonderful time of the year.
Creamy Cranberry Dip
If your pantry is anything like mine then you may have half portions of chocolate chips to use up after all of your holiday baking is done.
Those wheels in my head started turning, although a bit squeaky (har har), but I wanted to make something to use up some stuff that I had on hand.
Cranberry dip it is! Creamy with just the right amount of sweetness that is so heavenly tasting with your favorite cookies. Vanilla wafers in this case because I had a box that didn’t get used at Thanksgiving.
Cranberry Sauce Dip
Anywho, I pulled out a block of cream cheese to let it soften. Later on I got to mixing everything up and bam…yummy holiday dip appetizer was born.
Hubs suggested that he would enjoy some white chocolate morsels too, which I had a little on hand, so I mixed some in to garnish the top.
By adding a few white chocolate morsels did make the final presentation pretty but you don’t have to go fussing with lots of ingredients, just use what you have on hand.
Holiday Cranberry Dip Recipe
Once I got the creamed cheese and cranberry sauce mixed up it was a little too runny and I needed something to thicken it up.
I placed a mixing bowl in the freezer for about five minutes then pulled it out and poured in some heavy whipping cream and whipped up some fresh whipped cream.
After I folded that in, the dip had a wonderful consistency.
Cranberry Chocolate Chip Dip
The last step was folding in some milk chocolate morsels. Those are my favorite chocolate chips.
I transferred my cranberry chocolate chip dip to a serving bowl to get it ready for us to enjoy.
I garnished around the serving bowl of my creamy cranberry dip with some rosemary and fresh cranberries, laid out some cookies then topped the dip with a couple of whole cranberries and chocolate chips to make everything pretty.
Do y’all like it?
Well, I was first to grab a Nilla wafer and dig in and man oh man was it good! This holiday dip was everything that I hoped it would be.
Next, hubs tried it and gave it the two thumbs up mark of approval.
Below in the printable recipe card you’ll get all of the details to make this festive cranberry cream cheese dip to enjoy with your favorite cookies.
