Crock Pot Hot Dog Chili: Easy Slow Cooker Recipe

- 2 pounds Lean Ground Beef
- 1 Yellow Onion diced
- 2 tablespoons Chili Powder McCormick's recommended
- 1½ teaspoon Kosher Salt or to taste
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper or to taste
- 3 cups Beef Stock
- ¼ cup Ketchup
Begin by heating a large skillet over medium, then add the minced ground beef to the hot skillet and break apart cooking until browned. Drain any excess grease rendered then transfer the cooked ground beef to the crockery of your slow cooker.
Next, add the diced onion, chili powder, salt and pepper and give the meat mixture a quick stir.
Add the beef stock and ketchup to the seasoned meat mixture and stir.
Cover the slow cooker with a lid and cook the hot dog chili on the low heat setting for 4 to 6 hours.
Serve with cooked wieners, hot dog buns and favorite toppings for chili dogs (see full post for suggestions)
Leftover crock pot hot dog chili can be portioned into freezer food storage bags and frozen for other meals. Reheat gently on the stove top or in the slow cooker.
