- 1.5 - 2 lbs Ground Beef
- 1 Onion diced
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Ground Chili Powder
- 1.5 tsp Ground Garlic Powder
- 10.5 oz Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup such as Campbell's
- 16 oz Elbow Macaroni
- 2/3 c Whole Milk
- 8 oz Shredded Cheese I used a cheddar/jack mix
Preheat oven to 350°F
Start by browning the ground beef in a skillet with the diced onion. Season with salt, pepper, chili powder and garlic powder.
While the ground beef mixture is cooking, cook the pasta. Add 4 quarts of water to a pot with half a teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil, add the elbow macaroni and cook for 10 minutes. Drain well.
Next add the condensed cheddar cheese soup to the hamburger mixture. Add milk and stir to combine. Next, add the cooked macaroni pasta and stir to combine everything.
Lastly, layer the mixture in a casserole dish and add some of the shredded cheese between layers, topping with the remaining cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
