Sausage Cabbage Skillet

Low carb smoked sausage and pan fried cabbage are a quick one skillet meal

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Smoked Beef Sausage or the flavor of your choice
  • 1 small to medium Head of Cabbage sliced
  • 1 tsp Bacon Fat I keep a jar in the fridge, don't y'all?!?
  • 2 tbs Cooking Oil
  • 2 tbs Butter
  • Salt Cracked Black Pepper, & Onion Powder

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add bacon fat and cooking oil.
  • Slice smoked sausage and add to skillet.
  • Slice Cabbage and set aside.
  • Cook sliced sausage until it begins to brown, 5-10 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  • Add sliced cabbage to skillet and season with salt, pepper, and onion powder to taste. Add butter and cook cabbage until desired tenderness, stirring occasionally, 20-25 minutes.
  • Add smoked sausage back to the skillet with the cabbage and stir to combine.
