- 1 lb. Ground Beef Ground Chuck preferably
- 1/4 c Diced Onion
- 1 tbsp. Chili Powder
- 1/2 tbsp. Hot Mexican Style Chili Powder
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/4 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
- 1 tbsp. Tomato Paste
- 1/2 c Beef Stock
- Dash of Worcestershire Sauce
- Dash of Cayenne Pepper optional
Add the ground beef to a shot skillet and break apart; add the diced onion and cook until the meat has browned and cooked through.
Next, add the seasonings and stir to combine.
Add the tomato paste to the meat mixture and stir to incorporate well then add the beef stock and Worcestershire sauce. Continue to simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
Serve the chili sauce on top of hot dogs.
Leftover chili sauce can be frozen and re-heated another time.
If you prefer less spiciness, use all chili powder instead of the hot Mexican style chili powder.
Hot dog wieners can be prepared by boiling, grilling or sautéing in a skillet. The skillet method adds additional flavor. Serve hot dog wieners in a hot dog bun topped with chili sauce, favorite condiment (mustard or ketchup) along with other preferred toppings.
