Fresh Squeezed Lemonade Recipe

How about a glass of refreshing fresh squeezed lemonade? It’s delicious and a great thirst quencher on warm days. Next to iced tea it’s one of my favorite beverages.

Making fresh squeezed lemonade is easy and takes only minutes. I always love seeing child entrepreneurs with their pop up stands selling lemonade in summer.

Life’s lessons can come from something so simple as selling a glass of cold lemonade to thirsty patrons.

Ingredients

  • 8-10 Lemons, ? juiced (2 cups)
  • 2 Lemons, sliced for garnish
  • 1 c Hot Water
  • 1 1/4 c Sugar
  • 12-15 c Cold Water
  • Ice, for serving
pitcher and glass of lemonade

Lemonade Recipe

Begin by adding hot water to a pitcher. I use the hottest tap water.

Next, add the sugar to hot water and stir until dissolved.

Juice the lemons into a large measuring cup. Each lemon should yield about 1/4 c of juice. I don’t worry about seeds getting into the measuring cup. You can just pour through a strainer into the pitcher to remove the seeds.

Add fresh lemon juice and cold water to the pitcher, stir to combine.

Add fresh lemon slices to lemonade pitcher if desired.

Serve with ice and a slice of lemon.

I can’t imagine anything better than sitting on the porch with friends and family chatting over a tasty glass of lemonade. Perfect sweet and tangy.

Some of my favorite childhood memories involved sitting on my grandmother’s front porch. Everyone laughing and enjoying socializing with each other. Those were some good times.

These days I’m making more wonderful memories on my own front porch. We love sitting out and enjoying the fresh air, feeling a nice breeze and listening to the birds.
