Crock Pot Chocolate Peanut Butter Candy is an easy homemade treat, perfect for giving during the holiday season. The season of giving! Christmas is approaching and I began a tradition years ago of making homemade gifts rather than shopping for commercial items people may not want or need.
These homemade gifts have a special part of me, my time and love in making them. I think that adds a special touch. By making my own gifts I have plenty to share with family, friends, and neighbors.
If you’ve been following me for a while you may have noticed that I’m not about the complicated. I prepare simple and easy to follow recipes. Food that I actually feed my family.
Easy Homemade Treats
This candy is not one of those recipes where you’re using candy thermometers or doing hand stands to prepare. It’s so easy. The slow cooker really does all of the work. The recipe is easy to customize as well. I used peanuts but you could easily use pecans.
If you’re not a fan of peanut butter, you could use all chocolate. You could drop into clusters on parchment paper to set up but I prefer adding the candy to individual cup cake liners and it adds a festive touch. Then I add a couple of pieces of the candy once it’s set up into small holiday gift bags and finish with a ribbon.
Ready for giving! Don’t forget to hold back a piece or two for yourself 😉
“Christmas: the only time of year you can sit in front of a dead tree eating candy out of socks.”
Each year I prepare a variety of treats for the holidays. It wasn’t until this year that I realized, I’ve never added any of the recipes here at Julia’s Simply Southern to share. Ugh Oh! So allow me to share this easy recipe with you.

Crock Pot Chocolate Peanut Butter Candy
Ingredients
- 32 oz Almond Bark or Candiquick
- 16 oz Unsalted Roasted Peanuts (or Pecans)
- 12 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- 10 oz Peanut Butter Morsels
- Sprinkles (optional)
Put peanuts in a slow cooker topped with morsels and almond bark. Cover and set to low.
Easy Crock Pot Candy with Nuts
After one hour give everything a stir. If everything is not melted down, cover and cook for an additional 15 minutes. Stir well to mix all ingredients together.
Everything should be melted down and easy to incorporate at this point. One thing to keep in mind, you don’t want to overcook almond bark. Something odd happens and it turns chalky. So don’t just throw everything in the slow cooker and let it hang out for hours and hours. Trust me, I’ve done it and it’s not a good thing.
Crock Pot Peanut Clusters
Line a sheet pan with cupcake liners and use a scoop to add the candy mixture to each liner. If you’re not using cupcake liners, drop in clusters onto parchment paper. Top with sprinkles if you like. Once all of the liners are filled, allow to set up and harden for two hours.
Add the candy clusters to a gift bag or tin for gifting. It’s a delicious treat and sure to be appreciated by whomever you give it to.
