Like many of you, I enjoy a delicious short cut recipe and this is just that. With a few simple ingredients you can create a semi-homemade sauce that is restaurant quality in taste.
Ingredients
- 1 pt Crimini Mushrooms (baby bellas), stems removed
- 1/2 c Water
- 1 tbs Butter
- 1/3 c Heavy Cream
- 1 can Campbell’s French Onion Soup
- Cracked Black Pepper, to taste
- Pinch Cayenne Pepper

Easy Creamy Mushroom Sauce Recipe
An easy semi homemade mushroom sauce that taste just like the restaurants make. It's perfect with beef or chicken.
Ingredients
- 1 pint Crimini Mushrooms (baby bellas), stems removed
- 1/2 c Water
- 1 tbsp. Butter
- 1/3 c Heavy Cream
- 1 can Campbell's French Onion Soup
- Cracked Black Pepper, to taste
- Pinch Cayenne Pepper
Instructions
- Prepare the mushrooms by wiping away any dirt with a wet cloth and removing the stems. Next, cut the mushrooms into large chunks.
- Next, add the mushrooms along with the water, French onion soup, and butter to a pot.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook until the liquid has reduced by half.
- Next, add the heavy cream, black pepper, and a pinch of cayenne pepper to the other ingredients and continue to simmer until the sauce thickens.
