In this post I’m sharing how to make Easy Ground Beef Taco Boats.
Taco boats made with soft tortilla bowls will become a favorite meal the entire family will love. Perfect for Taco Tuesday, Cinco de Mayo, or just a Friday night.
“Let’s taco ’bout it”
I am really loving the soft flour tortilla bowls for tacos now. Have you tried them? It’s like a soft taco shell that can stand up and not fall over spilling out all of your toppings.
Add these ground beef taco boats to your Cinco de Mayo menu, grab a margarita and let’s talk about how to make them. It’s so easy!
Taco boats are really versatile and could also be made with chicken, pork or shrimp. Just add your favorite taco toppings and you’re all set.
I like to set up a taco bar of sorts so everyone can make their own just how they like it. Lots of cheese for me please! By taco bar, I mean I chop all the vegetables and arrange them on a paper plate. 😉
Mini Beef Taco Bowls
How to make taco boats: it is easy for anyone to season some ground beef for tacos. The secret to amazing tacos is a great selection of fresh toppings….like the ripest tomatoes, spicy slices of jalapeno, crispy lettuce, black olives, salsa, shredded cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.
You could also add fresh guacamole, chopped herbs…like parsley or cilantro, and a squeeze of lime. They’re all great ground beef taco toppings.
Who’s craving tacos? I am now!
A non-interesting fact about me…I am one of those people who, because of genetics, thinks that cilantro tastes like soap. If I use cilantro it is very sparingly. Too much and I can smell it across the room.
Cheesy Beefy Taco Boats
This recipe calls for one packet of taco seasoning but I personally only use just a little bit of taco seasoning these days. Why? Well to be quite honest, because we’re middle aged and suffer from reflux now.
My inner voice is hissing like a cat for saying older. It’s true though!
I love taco seasoning and there was a time I’d use the entire packet. Just a little tip so you can adjust the level of spiciness to suit your own tastes.
