This easy one pot skillet meal is perfect for a quick homemade meal. If you like serve it with a side of pan fried potatoes.
- 1 lb Smoked Beef Sausage , or the flavor of your choice
- 1 small to medium Head of Cabbage, sliced
- 1 tsp Bacon Fat ( I keep a jar in the fridge, don’t y’all?!? )
- 2 tbs Cooking Oil
- 2 tbs Butter
- Salt, Cracked Black Pepper, & Onion Powder
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add bacon fat and cooking oil.
Slice smoked sausage and add to skillet.
Slice Cabbage and set aside.
Cook sliced sausage until it begins to brown, 5-10 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
Add sliced cabbage to skillet and season with salt, pepper, and onion powder to taste. Add butter and cook cabbage until desired tenderness, stirring occasionally, 20-25 minutes.
Add smoked sausage back to the skillet with the cabbage and stir to combine.
