In this post I’m sharing the super easy Pigs in Blankets Recipe.
This is one of those crazy easy to make but always delicious recipes that everyone loves. Seriously, I think I may have an addition to pigs in a blanket and feel quite sure that I eat more than my share.
Pigs in a blanket are great as appetizers for gatherings and can be made with regular hot dog wieners or small cocktail wieners. Other than the weenies, all you need is some crescent roll dough.
Serve these Piggies with your favorite dipping sauce. Plain old yellow mustard happens to be my favorite for dipping these pigs in a blanket.
Pigs in Blankets
Ingredients:
1 Package Crescent Roll Dough
1 Package Beef Hot Dogs
Cut the hot dog wieners in half. Unroll the crescent roll dough. It’s a bit easier if you buy the handy crescent sheet dough that Pillsbury makes these days. If you have the regular crescent roll dough on hand just pinch those seems together.
With a pastry roller or pizza cutter slice into 1 inch strips and wrap each hot dog. Place on a baking sheet.
Put into a 325 degree Fahrenheit oven and bake 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Serve with mustard for dipping.
For a kid friendly lunch these can be made using the whole hot dog.
