This is a super easy and a party favorite! Appetizers do not have to be complicated.
Lit’l smokies are one appetizer ingredient that you should keep on hand. Keep a couple of packages in the freezer. There are numerous options for appetizers with these tasty little cocktail wieners.
Who doesn’t like anything wrapped in bacon? Am I right? Bacon wrapped cocktail wieners are sure to be a hit at your gatherings. Plus they’re so easy to prepare.
Easy Smokies Appetizers
Ingredients:
1 package Lit’l Smokies
1 package Bacon, thick sliced
Toothpicks
Bacon Wrapped Smokies
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Open package of lit’l smokies and empty contents into a small colander, drain well.
Cut bacon strips into lengths long enough to wrap each smokie, typically a strip of bacon can be cut into three pieces.
Wrap each smokie with bacon piece and secure with a toothpick.
Place on a foil lined baking sheet and bake 20-25 minutes until bacon is cooked through and begins to crisp. If you prefer softer bacon then bake it a little less.
Serve along with your favorite dipping sauce.
Cocktail Wiener Appetizers
Cocktail wieners make a great appetizer option prepared a variety of ways. A few of my favorite are placing the cocktail wieners in a small appetizer slow cooker with a sauce or wrap them up as mini pig in a blanket bites.
