Red Remoulade Sauce Recipe

In this post I am sharing how to make creole style Red Remoulade Sauce Recipe.

Red Remoulade is a great condiment to enjoy with your crab cakes, shrimp, or fried green tomatoes. It is also delicious on classic Southern Po Boy sandwiches.

Remoulade sauce is tangy and a bit spicy making it a wonderful condiment to keep on hand in my book. It’s also easy to prepare your homemade batch of this tasty sauce.

What is Remoulade Sauce Made of?

Ingredients:

  • Mayonnaise, preferably Dukes
  • Tomato Paste
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • Capers, chopped
  • Creole Mustard
  • Red Wine Vinegar
  • Green Onion, chopped
  • Creole Seasoning
  • dash of Cayenne
  • Garlic, minced
  • Celery Seed
  • Salt
  • Lemon Juice
  • Fresh Cracked Black Pepper

You probably already have a lot of the ingredients on hand for preparing this Cajun remoulade sauce recipe.

Cajun Dipping Sauce

Combine all of the sauce ingredients together in a small mixing bowl. Transfer to a glass dressing bottle or air tight storage bowl. The remoulade sauce can be refrigerated in an air tight container up to five days.

Red Remoulade Sauce

Traditional remoulade sauce that is easy to prepare. The perfect condiment for crab cakes and a variety of other Southern dishes.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c Mayonnaise, preferably Dukes
  • 2 tbs Tomato Paste
  • 1 tbs Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbs Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbs Capers, chopped
  • 1 tbs Creole Mustard
  • 2 tbs Red Wine Vinegar
  • 2 tbs Green Onion, chopped
  • 1 1/4 tsp Creole Seasoning
  • dash Cayenne
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp Celery Seed
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • Fresh Cracked Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients together in a small mixing bowl.
  2. Sauce can be refrigerated in an air tight container up to five days.
