Red Remoulade is a great condiment to enjoy with your crab cakes, shrimp, or fried green tomatoes. It is also delicious on classic Southern Po Boy sandwiches.
Remoulade sauce is tangy and a bit spicy making it a wonderful condiment to keep on hand in my book. It’s also easy to prepare your homemade batch of this tasty sauce.
What is Remoulade Sauce Made of?
Ingredients:
- Mayonnaise, preferably Dukes
- Tomato Paste
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Fresh Parsley, chopped
- Capers, chopped
- Creole Mustard
- Red Wine Vinegar
- Green Onion, chopped
- Creole Seasoning
- dash of Cayenne
- Garlic, minced
- Celery Seed
- Salt
- Lemon Juice
- Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
You probably already have a lot of the ingredients on hand for preparing this Cajun remoulade sauce recipe.
Cajun Dipping Sauce

Red Remoulade Sauce
Ingredients
- 3/4 c Mayonnaise preferably Dukes
- 2 tbs Tomato Paste
- 1 tbs Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tbs Fresh Parsley chopped
- 2 tbs Capers chopped
- 1 tbs Creole Mustard
- 2 tbs Red Wine Vinegar
- 2 tbs Green Onion chopped
- 1 1/4 tsp Creole Seasoning
- dash Cayenne
- 1 clove Garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp Celery Seed
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients together in a small mixing bowl.
- Sauce can be refrigerated in an air tight container up to five days.
