Oven Baked BBQ Pork Chops
Oven baked bbq pork chops are a no frills but tasty meal. Perfect for busy families. I remember having this quite a bit growing up. The oven method doesn’t require too much tending while cooking.
You can have dinner on the table in less than an hour if paired with a few easy sides. I like serving this with coleslaw, corn on the cob, and baked beans or cold pork & beans.
Anyone else eat pork & beans cold that have been chilled in the refrigerator? It seems to be a thing where I am from but I know a lot of people cook them too.

Laura,
It makes me happier than you know when I get messages like this! I am so glad that your family enjoyed this pork chop recipe.
So do u bake for 40 min? U say to cool for 20 min then add sauce and RETURN to oven for 10 min then add more sauce to other side and return for 10 min. So that’s a total of 40 if they’re being returned.
It is 40 minutes total. You can adjust cooking times if needed…you’ll just want to add the sauce the second half of cooking so that it doesn’t burn. A lot of the sweet sauces can burn if cooked too long.
I don’t understand what is the dry rub? I can’t find a link to it and it don’t exactly tell you what’s in it.
Pork dry rub is a seasoning blend you can usually find in your spice aisle at the grocery store.
Okay thank you.
@Ashley Bolton, hello a dry run is another word for seasonings such as a mixture of salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika and rub in on your meats or get it from your grocery store like McCormick bbq rub or poultry rubs.the choices are endless when it comes to a great flavor profile
I followed your recipe exactly. I am very disappointed!!! To me, they came out very dry and tough!!!
Carol,
I’m sorry that you didn’t like this recipe. If you decide to try it again maybe adjusting your baking time according to the thickness of your pork chops will give you your desired results. Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you’ll give some of my other recipes a try.
