Patriotic All American Sliders

Mix together ground beef and bison. Form into small patties, portion to make a dozen. Season burger patties with salt, pepper, onion powder, and chili powder on both sides. Remember to allow your meat to come to room temperature (about 30 minutes) before grilling.

Slice vegetables and make a topping tray along with other condiments for a self serve “Topping Bar”.

Grill sliders 10-15 minutes to desired temperature. Top half with cheese slices and allow to melt. I always leave some without cheese because everyone doesn’t like cheese on their burgers. What? I know but we have to accommodate everyone.

Tip: If making sliders for a crowd – grill them ahead of time. Place in a crock-pot on low and fill with beef broth. This keeps the sliders warm and ready and you’re not spending all of your time grilling so you can mingle with your guests.
