A quiche is so easy to make. It takes no time to put one together. It just takes a little while to bake. I like to bake mine the night before if serving for breakfast, just heat and serve the next morning. Quiche is not just for breakfast though, it’s perfect for brunch, lunch or dinner too.
“Keep refrigerated pie crusts on hand. A quick quiche is often the answer when you don’t know what to make for dinner.” ~ Jane Jarrell ‘Simple Hospitality’
1 9″ Deep Dish Pie Crust, such as Pillsbury
6 Eggs, large or extra large
1 c Heavy Cream
1 c Ham, cubed or chopped
1 c Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1 tbs Parsley Flakes
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
1/2 tsp Salt
Take pie crust out of the freezer and let sit out on the counter while you put together the ingredients.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl beat eggs. Add heavy cream, parsley, salt and pepper and whisk together with eggs. Add ham and cheese to the pie shell and pour the egg mixture into the shell.
Bake for 45 – 55 minutes.
To reheat whole quiche, preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cover quiche with foil and bake 15 – 25 minutes, depending on how warm you’d like it. You can also heat it by the slice in the microwave.
